I'm not a fan of the new song. I don't get why the media was saying it's like BHC. It's nothing like it.
Oh well. |

Eh, I couldn't even finish the song. Boring and cheesy. Is the media seriously saying it's like BHC? (I never liked BHC that much either...I know a ton of people love it. My fav single of her's was Wasted)

The only think that I don't like about this song is the fact that it's so similar to all the songs on SH. I mean, I know she wants to stick to her Country roots and all, but she can try to change her music just a little. Now I know what Kelly means when she says that the same music gets boring, lol.

Country songs rarely tend to change. Pop songs tend to change much more.
I heard the song the first time a couple days ago. While I like it overall, I don't particularly care for the chorus musically. |

Carrie Underwood's "So Small" sets country music record Country News CD Reviews Country Mike Blog Monday, August 6, 2007 Carrie Underwood's first single from her sophomore disc, "So Small," is racing up the charts and setting a record along the way. The song hit number 20 on the Billboard/R&R country airplay chart, marking the highest chart entry by a solo country female in Nielsen BDS history. Penned by Underwood with Luke Laird and Hillary Lindsey (who co-wrote three tracks on Underwood's debut disc, including the chart-topping "Wasted" and "Jesus, Take the Wheel"), "So Small" was this week's most-added new single at Billboard/R&R and Country Aircheck. Serviced to country radio last Monday, with an official airplay impact date of today, "So Small" is already spinning on 128 country reporting stations. The track also earns the distinction of becoming the highest debuting single of any country artist this year. Underwood's to-be-titled new album, which will include "So Small," arrives Oct. 23. Love it. Go Carrie!!

Re: Carrie Underwood Discussion Thread, Part 2 | ||
Quote: I would just like to point out that Carrie sings a G&R song in concert and also recently sang a Poison (?) song also. In addition, this is her itunes playlist: Welcome to the Black Parade My Chemical Romance Waiting On the World to Change John Mayer Like Red On a Rose Alan Jackson Beautiful Day U2 All That I'm Your Man Wham! Paint It Black The Rolling Stones Innocent (Album Version) Our Lady Peace Bicycle Race Queen Stealing Kisses Faith Hill My Love (Single Version) Justin Timberlake featuring T.I. The Chair George Strait Once In a Lifetime Keith Urban The Kill 30 Seconds to Mars Into the Ocean Blue October Waitin' On a Woman Brad Paisley I've bolded the country artists. CLEARLY Carrie's musical preferences leans more towards the rock/alt rock genre but IMO she's too scared to try going in that direction herself so she does as she's told and plays the good lil AI role and it works for her. and for the record before anyone assumes that the kelly fan posting on Carrie's form defending Kelly is me, it's not. I think I have an account which I signed up for when SOme HEars came out and I liked it but I don't post there or even read there anymore. I do post on on two non fan boards and here and that's it. |

Quote: Just because she likes that kind of music doesn't mean she wants to sing it..Carrie has always stated that Country is where her heart is and you have no idea what goes on behind the scenes so quit trying to say that she does everything she's told... |

Oh, wow, so the Carebears ARE the new Claymates? I'd heard that but SO didn't want to belive it was true - until I saw it with my own eyes, just now. How long before they change their names from Carebears to Carriemates I wonder?
Well, hey, good luck to Carrie - with fans like that, she surely won't need haters. |

eh, I don't think they're all like fannypackwearer, that's for sure. Just a few are. The funny thing is, is that fannypackwearer despises the KCE and has said so at Sucks. She also said that we, the KCE, are the reason she doesn't like Kelly anymore. LMFAO, so what does she do after saying all the crap she says about us, she joins the KCE. Too funny. She's a total whack job. Most of the Carrie fans I've encountered are pretty level headed, except for the few that are Carriemates.

Quote: Yeah, it really does sound like it could've been on her last album, which bothers me. I like artists to at least show a little growth. I guess its good that she supposedly co-wrote this and i like the overall message of the song. Its decently catchy as well. |

Oy vey indeed... joining a board just to defend another artist is ridiculous, seriously.
However, in a sense, I agree with what that person was saying...moving on... So Small is ALL over country radio!!
