Kelly comes up pretty freqently with me...but it depends on who I'm with. I've recently kellyverted my best friend like hard core so she doesnt mind at
all if i bring her up. Most of the time she asks about her and what shes doing. And recently shes been saying "Where's Kelly? I miss her! What is she
doing?" So i dont really hesistate to bring her up with her or a couple other people. But if i'm with another group and none of them are kelly
oriented, I'll usually keep my mouth shut about it. It happens ALOT that someone will say something, or talk about something, or i'll see something
that reminds me of her, but i'll just keep it to myself. And it annoys me cuz i wanna say it outloud but nobody will really get it anyway so i dont usually
bother lol. But if people find out about my on stage experience, that's usually the topic of conversation for a little while haha. They freak out and want
to know every detail lol. (If i had a nickle for everytime i've told that story haha)
As for the dry spell? This is probably the hardest time for me haha. I do enjoy the quietness on here sometimes, and not having to worry about downloading or keeping up with a thread. (The few days pre/during/post Grammys 06 was CRAZY!) haha, but i do miss her sometimes! And i catch myself wondering what shes doing or which house shes at haha. But it's probably nice for her to kinda turn her celebrity off for a bit and just go home. But yeah i check here pretty frequently hoping for a spoting or an impromtue metalskool round 2 performance haha. I'm holding out for deaner's videos and maybe a few journal entries but who knows! All i can say is bring on the new era! |

My mother brings her up to me alot, like she'll see me on here and ask what Kelly is up to, and she really gets into a live performance or something cause
i get into it too.
She thinks she's really bitter cause of her songs, but i tell her she's not really always like that lol. |

I openly welcome the quiet period for my own sanity. That is until some insane person(s) starts posting..
I take this time to check out other music, other people, get my own crap in order, etc. And I don't talk about KC outside of this place and only if I'm asked will I say anything. oh Lynnie, bad memories. Very bad. |

Its time to download and explore the media available. And she rarely comes up in conversation. I do not bring it up.

I try not to be too obsessive outside of The Express, I don't wanna turn people away from her by being annoying. But if someone brings her up, I chime
right in. I became a die hard fan during a dead period, kinda weird in itself I guess, but its a great time to catch up on all the concert videos and re-watch
old appearances. Otherwise it is kinda like the summertime between TV seasons, gives you time to catch up on other things.

I try to bring her up in everything that I do. And when it's dead, the people of the board liven it up.

I don't talk about KC a lot outside of the Express or other Expressers I chat with. I don't usually bring her up in conversations with my friends and
usually only say something briefly if they bring her up or a topic that would relate to her (e.g. music, AI). Like my one friend, who knows how big of a KC fan
I am, will sometimes ask if there's anything new going on with her, but I don't say too much unless I think it's really exciting news (like new
material, appearances, tour, etc.).
I still visit KCE everyday but may not always post when the board is "dead". The upside is that it does give me a chance to catch up on other things. Plus it makes any news that surfaces that much more exciting. |

When I'm having a conversation with my best friend, Kelly comes up regularly. But when I'm with a whole group I won't talk as much about her. I
only talk about her when I know that people don't mind, otherwise I'll shut up and keep the things to myself.
When the board is 'dead' I still check in a couple of times a day. I don't want to miss out on anything lol. |

I dont talk about Kelly but I do talk about the Express! I usually just say "yeah there's a thread on the express about that"

^^ Kezbo, I do the same thing!! Whenever my husband mentions a news item, I say "yup, there's a thread on my Kelly board about that!"
Bix, I hear ya on the sanity piece....and I'm not even a moderator haha! |

During a dead period? I eat a lot.
Unless its summer vacation, then I walk two miles to the Town pool. Takes off all those pounds from eating a lot. |

Most of the people I know know I'm a hardcore fan of the KC. However, I don't bring her up too often unless it's something I want them to know
about. I have a group of friends that I have in an email group called the kellyclarksonupdategroup.
I email them updates about Kelly whenever something new or significant comes
up.
I personally don't care for the dead period. It's rather boring.

I should have probably added from my last post that I do and don't bring up KC alot... It depends on the company. I have several groups of friends and my
school friends are alot more casual fans and just buy the albums/singles and listen to them in the Car etc. They ask me half the time what Kelly is up to
usually by prompt on weather they have heared something on the radio or not heared from her on the radio... I try not to bring up KC at all with my community
college pals, alot of them are younger than me (16/17) and think I'm a bloody lunatic when they see me crawling the express during computer time. Alot of
them are hardcore dance music lovers also so don't really like KC.
When I'm with a unique group of friends I have made on the music circuit in my local town from either bands or writers I know, they do bring KC up alot with me because they know, and often mention her song writing skills or say they were messing around with some new sounds drawn from KC. I know my friend Duane (who attended the cardiff concert with me) is in a band and completely drew inspiration from addicted/SUBG sound-wise during the breakaway period. So that was kind of cool. I know the current song on the grapevine amongst this circuit of friends is "Sober" it's getting some lovin right now by alot of people I know. My friend Duane hadn't heared it before the concert, and he hasn't shut up about it since! |

emilis wrote: As I said yesterday in the Questions thread, I think if there was any reason in the pop music world of today, "Sober" should be a classic. It's sad, I think, that most people are like Duane. They've never heard the song and it sure beats the crap out almost every pop song out there right now. It's unique and powerful (not to mention sung by Kelly Clarkson). Fact is, I listened to it earlier today, the album version, and I don't care what U.S. radio says, to me, that song never seems like an almost 5 minute song. It would be great if KC showed up on the AI finale and sang Sober to one of the biggest TV audiences of the year. |

well besides incorporating her name in some of my random blurbs when i'm bored, i don't talk about her that much. but i do bring her name up whenever i
can haha.
I always come on here to check if i miss anything new, its ridic. my teacher at school knows im the biggest kelly addict ever and she likes her too so she always asks me how she's doing and what she's up to but besides that, i don't deliberately bring her up...haha unless im bored

I pretty much find a reason to talk about Kelly at any time, in any convo, about any topic....
For example, just today I was watching LA Ink and the girl did a tattoo of like a monster version of a beauty queen (u get the symbolism) and somehow it reminded me of that Blender Woman of the Year shoot, so I said to my mum "Hey theres this really cool photo shoot Kelly did a few years ago for Blender, and it was likelike the dark side of the whole prom queen...."(I then proceeded to explain) But hey, heres a few ideas.: "So how about that weather" "I know its pretty warm. Hey Kelly Clarkson likes warm weather ya know" "I really like this colour" "Did you know that Kelly Clarkson's fav colour is cobalt blue?" "YOU, shook me me AAAAALL NIIIIIIGHT long" "OMG Kelly Clarkson" Or my personal favourite... "Sausages..." "I KNOW KELLY CLARKSON TOTALLY ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" What can I say guys....I have a knack for bringing up KC at the most appropriate times, just seems to flow dont you think? Hahaha ETA: Love the new banner. Where's the picture from?
