About the video, I don't think it's fair that the producers get to pick a song. Only David Cook got a good song. At least when the judges pick they
give a reason. I wish they only sang 2 songs and had them longer. Also David Cook changed his song last minute probably because the show didn't get the
rights for it. He woulda killed "The World I Know" comparing it to his performance of "Dare You to Move."
Even if it is rigged, hopefully at the end of the day, the votes are actually counted and correct. Hopefully that's not rigged. |

Thanks for the video, Director. Intersting perspective from David A's vocal coach:
1. Talking about positioning. David A. was placed singing his best song of the night first, while David C. went last. 2. David A. practiced "Longer" all week with an up tempo beat, with the producers coming up to him the day before and telling him they want him to sing it as a slow tempo. 3. David A. had a song choice as his for 2 weeks, then have the producers take the song away from him to give it to David C. That song was considered the best song choice of the night. 4. Syesha asked for strings for her performance, but was denied. David C. was instead allowed strings for his performance. Things that go on and have gone on with Idol for a long, long time. I'm glad to see them exposed. Things we would never have known about. We notice the obvious things, like the flames Daughtry got while Taylor got boring crap behind him. Even if it is rigged, hopefully at the end of the day, the votes are actually counted and correct. Hopefully that's not rigged. I would say that's the only thing about Idol that's probably honest...and only because they're monitored I'm guessing. But what the producers do with their behind the scene antics and give the audience in sensory presentations possibly sways voters, and we aren't even aware of it. Idol and politics are almost the same, haha.

from an article about Fox's schedule for this coming fall and spring:
"Fox executives said they were disappointed with the ratings declines for "American Idol" this season, and will cut back the Wednesday results show to 30 minutes." |

Debatable. I think David C's best was the first one. |

**1. Talking about positioning. David A. was placed singing his best song of the night first, while David C. went last. **
Boo hoo. He had pimp spot last week and if he'd done better on the song then he might have gotten it again. **2. David A. practiced "Longer" all week with an up tempo beat, with the producers coming up to him the day before and telling him they want him to sing it as a slow tempo. ** Makes me wonder if it wasn't as good as they thought. Not that it really matters they all had to sing the producers choice the same way. Again.. boo hoo. **3. David A. had a song choice as his for 2 weeks, then have the producers take the song away from him to give it to David C. That song was considered the best song choice of the night. ** Which song? The Roberta Flack song? IMO, it was the best of the night and I don't think DA could have done it better. Also if thats the song then it was Simon's choice and he'll get what he wants before anyone else will. Welcome to Hollywood. **4. Syesha asked for strings for her performance, but was denied. David C. was instead allowed strings for his performance. ** It wouldn't have mattered what Syesha wanted to do, she was doomed no matter what. What do they care anyways? Syesha was never really a threat to DA but DC is so it sounds more like they're trying to bring DC down. I know lots of people want to believe its rigged but unless we get to sit in with the producers we'll never know for sure. There's 2 sides to every story and to me it sounds like Camp David is pissy cuz their boy isn't getting special privledges and are worried about DC beating him in the final. I could be wrong but given the rumors about monster dad I'm more inclined to believe they'll do whatever it takes to make sure DA wins. Anyhoo, its just a different viewpoint and I'm really bored. Interesting that its not available anymore and it was a FOX affiliate... Where's Mulder and Scully when we need them? |

DA's team was mighty content the entire season when he was The Chosen One and was pimped endlessly while others actually had to overcome some hurdles in
the judges attitudes. Now that the tables have turned and the producers have decided Cook is The Chosen One they want to whine about being disadvantaged or
being sabotaged?
This voice coach sounds like a mouth piece for dear-old-Dad. If David's people are going to gladly accept favoritism (while not emitting a peep about the other contestants being disadvantged by this favoritism) then what credibility do they have when they start whining about being treated unfairly? So favoritism is only worth complaining about when DA isn't the beneficiary? Some people might just look at it as finally leveling the playing field. Let's hope if Cook wins, the Archeleta camp can show some grace in losing, as opposed to this whiny attempt to enrage his supporters to vote him to victory. You can already tell this is a fanwar waiting to happen. |

I just watched the video, so it's still there. Probably just being linked everywhere and their server can't keep up.
Personally, I call B.S. on at least one of the vocal coach's claims. "Longer" is Archie's itunes song... When are those recorded? If in fact the producers pulled the "up tempo" version on Monday, I don't think the Idol band and Archie would have been able to completely start over on a completely new version and record it before Tuesday's performance. Does that make sense? |

Great point, OK. I call @!%!$+*% on their whining on that part. The songs are recorded in studio over the weekend I believe.

As far as I'm concerned, the manipulation has got to stop, regardless of who the beneficiary is. Don't take a song away from the person who chose it.
If Syesha wants strings, give it to her.
This whole crap with producer favorites must end, or else the show will nose dive. Give us 24 great singers, and have the Producers and the Stooges stop telling us who should win. Isn't "America" supposed to decide? That being said, I totally agree with Idolskii. Poor Gasper. His dad costs the show a big wad of cash, and now he and his posse are sore? Also, why should an "Idol" contestant be allowed to have a personal vocal coach with them? Did they stop paying Deborah Byrd? And why should Barfy have "musical consultants" (a/k/a leeches who want to suck the little cash cow dry) like Dad A*****eta and Parkinson's Disease? |
