Isn't Kelly supposedly "out of the country?" I kind of doubt that she'll fly home in time for the finale, but you never know! She might
surprise us.

This does seem to be the closest race since Clay vs. Ruben ~ none of the other seasons were much of a surprise. I couldn't even begin to guess who will win
next week. Fortunately, ever since Season One, being the winner doesn't really help all that much, so each finalist will have an almost equal chance of
succeeding. I LOVE the fact they're bringing back old Idols from each season ~ IMO that should have been the strategy for IGB. For this alone I'll
watch the finale.

The more I think about it, the more this season is reminding me of S1. All the media raved and raved about Tamyra and Justin, just like they're ranting and
raving about Carly and DA. Tamyra left early and so did Carly. Nobody really saw Kelly coming until she did Natural Woman and no one really saw DC coming until
Billy Jean, I'm hoping it ends the same way. I think the only way it will be like Ruben/Clay is if DC loses, safe bet that DC will be the top seller for
this years group. Right now I think it can go either way but there could be some backlash over Camp David's whining.
I totally agree that bringing back past idols for IGB would have been awesome but we would have missed out on Annie Lennox, clearly the most amazing of the night and Fergie/Heart serving it up and showing them how its done. For once I'm excited to see how things go. |

I think I'm actually more interested in who they bring back from past seasons than I am about the outcome of this season. I've talked to a few people
around radio and they said that the winner's song would have to be something amazing for radio to even consider playing it. Although, that's been the
trend for the last few seasons anyway.

So I'm a freshman in HS, and I saw someone else posted that a 14 year old wanted David Cook to win and so do I!! And of my friends that watch Idol, one
wants David A to win and two want David C to win, so it's 3 to 4 so I hope DC will really win!!! He can do soo much more than DA, but if DA did win, DC
would be the more successful seller. Somewhat like how Daughtry is so popular and he wasn't even in the finale!

This is def. the closest race next to Season 2. The finale will decide it (or should I say) Simon will decide it that night. He is saying Cook DESERVES it, but not that he will win... I don't get why he doesn't say Cook will win.. Didn't last year he say Melinda "DESERVED" to win... Either way whoever wins - Cook will win where it really counts (sales/airplay/respect) This is def. the best finale EVER... I would have said if Cook got the pimp spot then he would win hands down, but with Archie getting it--- it's too tough to call.... |
