Gymnastics is my absolute favorite with the women's gymnastics being my all time favorite. Did anyone catch the Olympic trials over the
weekend. I watched the men's trials and both nights of the women's trials. On the men side I was saddened that that Rah(sp) only made an alternate.
He was so good.

Well, first and foremost, I'll be watching Gymnastics. Shawn Johnson is from West Des Moines and goes to the same high school I went to. She has become
the face of our state for sure!
Here's a pic of Shawn in the high school gym for a photoshoot:
All of us here in Des Moines and the whole state of Iowa are extremely excited for Shawn and her whole family. She is really just as nice as she seems and has one of the most infectious personalities. Outside of gymnastics, I'll catch swimming, diving, track and probably soccer. |

Reigning All Around World Champion, and reining two time All Around National Champion. Not to shabby. I'm excited for Shawn too. I wish her the best and hope she prevails in her dream. |

He was so good.We saw both nights of the women's tryouts. We were quite impressed with Shawn Johnson. Jeremy, I don't blame you and your town one bit for being proud. She seems like a really sweet young lady. The announcers comments a lot on her perkiness. Chelsea was good too as was Nastia. The balance beam is what amazes me. I can barely walk a straight line on solid ground!!!!!

carly patterson gave up gymnastics to sing...she's still lives in Allen, Texas and actually goes to the community college right down the street from me.
nastia definitely did not do her best at the trials. thankfully it was enough to pull her through though. she actually just graduated from the school i'm at now, last year. i go to school with a lot of the gymnasts that train at WOGA(as well as other gyms around the area) because of how my school schedules classes...for example nastia went from 12:30-3 like i did last semester. shawn did INCREDIBLE at trials though...it'll be really awesome to see how she improves even more in the next couple of months |

^yeah. she sings at Fellowship Church(aka HUGE haha) sometimes.
and yeah...between 14-18 is when a lot of the girls drop out. which also is of course the peak of their gymnastic careers usually. there's sooo many girls at my school that are slowly dropping their training hours. after doing gymnastics since they were all 4 and 5 a lot of them get worn out and want actual lives...which they don't have! haha |

For male is Andy Roddick and James Blake. And all of the names you mentioned will play for their own country of course. |
