I know this isn't a MD thread and the beating of a dead horse and all BUT... To sell 770K off of 1 single, Sober doesn't count for me sorry, and ONLY have promotion in the beginning of the release of an album, how can anyone say that MD wouldn't have sold more (and I know not BA type sales)? There are albums/artists out there right now who have had WAY more singles, rereleases of their albums, and been in the public eye/events, and STILL have not much over 1M. OK, sorry about that, really I am, I know how people here feel about sticking to topic....... Anywho, thanks bix for that info from EW......I hope that it stays on target for the album to be released then...... I have to admit, I know nothing about Blu Sanders.....I will google now......

However, she writes songs all the time, so most likely she was coming up with new material throughout the tour as well. I believe it was mentioned that Kelly wrote one called "Hand Me Downs'' while in Australia.

That doesn't mean she wasn't in studios in different locales before that date doing other types of recording for this record, putting down rough ideas, working through songs and such before going in the studio to put down the actual tracks to be used on the album. I actually found a post on a different music message board dated in March this year from a guy, out of Nashville, that said he had just done 3 songs with her and that she was recording lots of stuff around the world for this album. (I'm not going to link to it because that was all that was said on that matter which was in the middle of thread that rehashes old stuff.)

I think that Jason said that he knows you. His name is Jason Bowen. He is a singer/song writer for Sony/AVT or ATV (one or the other). Sony has changed so many names recently with so many different departments it's hard to keep up. Jason has been writing songs for Sony for about 12 years and he just happens to be friends also with Ryan Tedder, the guy who wrote the lead song on Clay's new CD, "On My Way Here". Of course Jason sang it for us last night and did a magnificent job. He and Ryan have co-written songs before and he sang one of them last night also. It was awesome too. And another song that he sang last night was one that he wrote that Sony has sent to Kelly Clarkson for consideration.
