Chesney with EOTY, Carrie with Female Vocalist, Strait with Single of the Year and Lady A with Horizon were all disappointments for me, but oh well.

First off.....I'm still thrilled over Lady A's win! I'm happy for them! They deserved it! I was between a rock and a hard place in that category
because of Pickler. I would have been thrilled for either one. But this is Lady A's week....especially with Hillary winning Songwriter of the Year the
other night. Speaking of Hillary....Lindsey...if you want to have your friend slip her my number...I'm perfectly ok with that!
I was happy for Carrie's win as well! And her performance was incredible! Sugarland's wins were also great! Here's what I didn't like though. Single of the Year should have went to Miranda and Entertainer of the Year should have went to Keith or Sugarland. I've always hated Kenny Chesney. I'm sick of him. And in other news.....Josh Gracin's new daughter was born today!

So freaking sick of Kenny Chesney winning EOTY. I knew he would though. His performance tonight was not country at all. He needs to come up with something new
'cause this whole beach thing is getting really old.
SOOOO happy for Lady A!!! <3 I thought Brad and Carrie did a good job hosting, and I am very happy with their wins for male and female vocalists of the year. 
So relieved that Sugarland walked away with Duo of the Year, and soooo happy for Jennifer getting an award for Stay. <3 |

Sugarland rocked last night and I love Martina's new song, it's so fun!! I'm kind of over Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney winning their two
categories :-/ I definitely think maybe next year or something Sugarland will win EOTY and I can't wait to see that

Overall, loved the show...so happy with Lady A's win and Sugarland's, Brad's winning moment was adorable, but I'm pretty sick of Kenny winning
EOTY...oh well...One day someone else will! haha.
Just saw these posted over at facebook and thought they were kind of funny... I guess you could say they're Lady A, pre-Hillary and pre-facial hair!

I called all of the winners (sooo predictable). There were many that I was thrilled about and a few I was disappointed about.
I'm sooo happy for Lady A!! Also, I love that Sugarland took Duo of the Year for a second year in a row. Jennifer Nettles winning Song of the Year -- loved it! I see many great things happening for Sugarland in the next couple of years. Brad Paisley stepping down to his wife after winning MVOTY was super cute! Kenny Chesney taking EOTY? Boo! I'm really over his antics. I think someone else mentioned something similar but he keeps doing the same stuff over and over again. He likes the island/beach....I get it. I won't lie though -- I still jam out to some of his songs.
George Strait? I grew up on Strait in the 80's. I'm glad he's still around and still kicking @$$ BUT I sort of feel that the awards he wins are because the voters feel he's earned the award because of his length of time in the business (if that makes any sense). I really thing Single of the Year should've gone to Sugarland. And Album of the Year? I feel that there were two others that should've won over Troubadour. |
