ouch. sorry Boston. ya know, i would've been a little more supportive of them if kevin garnett wasn't so cocky. i didn't like the way he would
taunt the opposing team's bench and such...i'm blaming him for their elimination. hehe.
woot...go Lakers! they scared the hell outta me this round. denver is gonna be a tough competitor, but i think we can do this. |

I had thought the games where over for houston and dallas, like had thought 5 games only, but was 7 i see in 2nd round.Like in playoffs its 5 then 7 then 7 games
again, but if needed of course as can end earlier too on mimum i think 4 .Like houston is now out, going down 3/4 to the lakers, good fight though by houston. And
dallas are out, what did they go down too,3/4 too or another?.

Denver eliminated Dallas in five games. Denver won the first three games, and then finished the series off on game five. I hope Denver beat the Lakers in the
WC final.

Some thoughts and rants...
* I do not like Prince James (and refuse to call him King James ever). * I hate the referees' obvious and blatant bias towards him (and his team). Yes, superstars normally get calls that regulars don't but LeBron gets calls that Kobe, D-Wade, Duncan, Shaq, Howard, Pierce, Nowitzki RARELY ever get. Anthony Johnson's "flagrant foul" on Mo Williams last night was crud because EVERY NBA player does that elbow move to clear space when driving to the basket. LeBron's block on Lee was a goaltend. LeBron bulldozing over Pietrus in the last 2min of the game was an obvious charge but was called blocking instead. And the worst one was the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year, Dwight Howard's obvious clean block on James' 3-pt attempt being called a shooting foul. ZERO respect for Howard while protecting the league's Chosen One. * His game-winning shot on Friday is the most over-hyped, over-exaggerated, over-praised shot in the HISTORY of the NBA. He had a WIDE-OPEN look and won a game TWO in a best-of-7 series. Andre Iguodala, Glen "Big Baby" Davis, Hedo Turkuglu and Carmelo Anthony have all hit game-winning shots this playoffs yet only LeBron's shot gets this much media attention (not to mention the sacrilegious attempt at comparing that shot to MJ's shot over Craig Ehlo 20yrs ago. Jordan's shot won a playoff SERIES and his Bulls were easily the underdogs in that series which made it far more memorable and important). * It's a matter of opinion but I don't get how people are putting LeBron over Kobe as the game's best player, much less on Kobe's level. Kobe is the better defensive player, has far more offensive skills, has a killer instinct that LeBron still lacks, and has 3 championships to LeBron's zero. Kobe's resume is simply far more expansive than LeBron's. What's even funnier is how Jerry West said "LeBron has surpassed Kobe but I still want Kobe to take the last shot." Umm, don't you normally go to the best player for the final shot? If you want to put someone on Kobe's level, put D-Wade. Flash has already won a championship, a Finals MVP, and has both offensive and defensive skill that are on par with Kobe. -- so as not to seem like I'm just drinking LeBron haterade lol, I will say that he has a chance at being the best ever after all is said and done (yes, even better than MJ), but as of right now in 2009, I wouldn't even call him the best player in the Eastern Conference (Dwyane Wade is). [/end of LeBron rant] * Once Dwight Howard has a few low post moves he can go to, he'll be unstoppable (think a bigger, faster and stronger Tim Duncan). Right now, all he's doing is just try muscling his way to the basket, no footwork, spins, hooks or moves involved. * Can Denver ever complete an inbounds pass? * Lakers-Nuggets will be done quickly. I don't see them slacking off against a "legit" team as they did against the undermanned Rockets last round. |

Hopefully the Magic will come within one game of eliminating the Cavs tomorrow!
http://sports.yahoo.com/n...;prov=yhoo&type=lgns Once again, LeBron is searching for LeHelp. "There's only one of me," James said in the locker room shortly before Game 3. "… If I could clone myself, we'd be all right." In rushing to catalog LeBron's Game 2 miracle among the greatest playoff shots ever, the NBA world overlooked one important fact. To be one of the greatest, one needs to win. Michael Jordan's shot over Craig Ehlo was epic because it came in the clinching game of the series. San Antonio celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the Memorial Day Miracle because Sean Elliott's tippy-toed 3-pointer vaulted the Spurs into the NBA Finals and onto their first championship. LeBron had already decided Friday to reserve his place in history, declaring, "That's a shot you'll see for a long time." So long, in fact, it could end up on NBA Entertainment's cutting-room floor by the end of the week. Monee A wrote:You know, I didn't like him even when he was still in high school simply because he was called King James already. My friend and I had a conversation about how we would both trade his @$$ away if we were the owner of the Cavs because of the blatant lack of respect that LeBron has for the team and organization when he was embracing all the talk about possibly going to the Knicks when he becomes a free agent next year. The owner and the GM is doing everything they can to surround him with the talent needed to win a championship and he repays them by talking about the possibility of joining another team at the end of next year? Goodbye Queen James and don't let the door hit you in the @$$ on the way out. |

kwab, i agree with your entire rant about LeBron. while i do think he's an amazing player [and a pretty cool person], he is totally overhyped and i have
felt this way since the day he joined the NBA. he's got a lot of work to do to reach Kobe's level, even though some already think he's surpassed
it. i hate how much the NBA praises him and how much credit they're giving him...especially after making that buzzer beater in game 2. i would've liked
to see him make that shot at an angle...it was a straight-away, wide open 3. they're still giving him so much credit, even after such a poor performance in
game 3. the refs are totally all about him....i cannot, for the life of me, believe that they called a foul when Howard clearly blocked his 3-pt shot from
behind. that drove me crazy...it was all ball.
it's nice to see the Cavs struggling now against Orlando. it's about time they're being challenged. now...on to my Lakers. WHAT THE EFF?! they're making me nervous. Denver's bench totally outplayed our entire team last night. i hope they re-take the lead when the series comes back to L.A tomorrow night. i have no idea where Bynum, Odom, and Vujacic are. they've been inconsistent against Houston and now Denver. i will not be surprised if we lose this series to Denver. The Laker bench is choking and can't seem to find a rhythm. i must say that i do not appreciate Dahntay Jones' dirty acts against Kobe. first the push in game 3 that was eventually called a flagrant 1 and now the trip last night. i rewatched the play over and over again and that was an obvious trip. the ESPN commentators are usually anti-Lakers, but even they saw what Jones did was dirty and intentional. while i'm at it....could ESPN kiss Denver's ass anymore? not only Denver, but Chauncy Billups especially? wow...last night's commentary was pissing me off....and even shocking to my friends that are rooting for Denver. their commentators are obviously Laker haters...come on, they're all guys that the Lakers or Phil Jackson have all beat. i dunno..i think i just hate that the games are on ESPN...i've never liked that channel for some reason. i prefer Fox Sports.

this makes me pretty happy.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4207241 it disgusts me that George Karl is supportive of his player's dirty playing. yah, tell them to play hard and to hound 'em, but don't support the fact that they're intentionally tripping and hurting the opposing team. that ain't no way to win a ring....it surely is a good way for karma to come back and hurt you. i'm not just biased towards the Lakers...i'm saying this for all teams and their players. i was pissed when Fisher busted that flagrant on Scola in the Rockets/Lakers series. i just don't wanna win a championship that way. sorry..i guess that's just the former basketball coach in me talking. they've also downgraded Johnson's ridiculous flagrant call down to a personal foul from the Mavs/Magic series. thank God. Mo Williams is full of sh*t, talkin' about his ears are still ringing from that "hard" hit. i think it surely does say a lot about the officiating if there are constant reviews, downgrades, and rescinds after each game. it's getting annoying. |

excellent win tonight by Orlando. they owned Cavs this entire series so it makes me happier than hell to see them advance and knock out Princess James.
he's a sore loser...didn't even give props to Orlando after the game. he also didn't speak to the media. someone's embarrassed......
an Orlando/Lakers series is gonna be goooooood! i'm so excited! |

LoudOne28 wrote:Seriously! I wonder how many excuses the media will make for him. All this talk about him getting "no help" again is bullcrap. He certainly had enough help during the regular season to get 66 wins. You either have help or you don't. How about giving credit to, oh, I don't know, the Orlando Magic for simply OUTPLAYING the Cavs? They created match-up problems, shot better and defended better than the Cavs. But of course, the media would have none of that. |

kwab, of course the media is totally defending LeBron's actions....saying that his decision to not stay afterwards was due to the disrespectful final shot
taken by the Magic [i think D.Howard] at the buzzer. i didn't even see if it went in or not...i was too busy celebrating the fact that once again, LeBron
didn't pull through to get to the finals. i was also happy that his "legendary" buzzer beater in game 2 meant absolutely nothing. haha. it is
kinda messed up to shoot that shot at the buzzer when you're already winning by that much.....but i think it's more disrespectful to not give props to
the opposing team. he truly came off as an ass and a sore loser after walking off like that....even the Nuggets were able to hug it out with the Lakers after
the Lakers owned them in game 6. i've been making jokes to all my LeBron loving friends that the NBA should rescind his MVP title the same way they've
been rescinding flagrant and technical fouls throughout the playoffs.

This is Lebron's quote after the game...ugh what a sore loser!
"It's hard for me to congratulate somebody after you just lose to them," James said. "I'm a winner. It's not being a poor sport or anything like that. If somebody beats you up, you're not going to congratulate them. That doesn't make sense to me. I'm a competitor. That's what I do. It doesn't make sense for me to go over and shake somebody's hand." |
