Anti-Rant: Met the boy I'm semiseeing's parents on Wednesday, and they really like me. They really are good people, a truly great family to be around,
so I really can't complain about anything. The only person in his immediate family that I haven't met yet is his younger brother, but I have a feeling
that will be happening soon enough. The boy also showed me around his hometown and his high school, among other places. That truly was a great day.
Rant/Anti-Rant #2: His mother picked up on the fact that we weren't just friends and asked us at least twice (to my memory) if we were actually secretly dating. Anti-Rant #3: His mom likes me enough that she gave me a hug as me and the boy were leaving, when I had only met her about 12 hours earlier. And I was able to carry on a conversation with her while my boy and his dad was out trying to fix something on my boy's car. It shows me that she actually does like me. I think I will have to spend a little more time with his dad to get a good read on him about whether or not he likes me. Anti-Rant #4: I had a really deep conversation with the boy on Wednesday as we were heading back to where he is currently living, and I now understand him a whole lot more than I did before that talk. It made me realize how much I actually care about him. Rant #2: Got a sunburn on both my face and a bit of my chest on Wednesday while with the boy and his parents. I only managed to make it worse today while watching one of my friends graduate university. My forehead and nose is so red right now it's not even funny. Rant #3: It's now my turn to introduce the boy to my parents. I just don't know when that will actually be possible with him only having two days off a week - and with those days changing at least once a month, and when I don't know what my parents' schedule is like. Oh well, it will happen when it happens. Sorry for the long post. I wasn't expecting it to be this long when I first started typing. Oops. |

Just like I love my man...follows my commands, responsive, and needs no batteries. you know, you all should have had your own thread....the i am graduating or done for the year thread. I would post in the "I am done for the year" thread. |

I'll never miss the %$$*!*** associated with high school, ever. EVER! When I left I was 16 years old and don't regret it. If I could go back and change
things, I still dunno if I would, maybe.... I would go back and snip at some of the roots I laid down, haha! When I left high school, sure I missed it, but the
tables turned, the friends I grew up with never really "grew up" and the drama just escalated. The scariest part of it all is that your no longer
just a "student" you have to lay down yet another set of roots, make something of yourself, make new friends, make important decisions that effect
the rest of your life, that is what everyone is secretly afraid of when they leave high school, your life is no longer determined or driven/set out by other
people. It's in your own hands. Some of my friends I went to school with left school at 17/18, picked a major, went with it and held on to the security
blanket for another 3 years and lived life with moderate independence. They are all graduating this year, with stupid degrees, with massive amounts of debt and
no better off in terms of standing on their own feet as they did 3 years ago. I did things a little differently, but at least I took a chance and lived my life
for a while and made the right choices (though I made some stupid choices too) I hope everyone gets to taste a little bit of this, because life is great when
your in control of it!
Hey, it's also really nice when you're actually earning money too.... real money that isn't given to you on a Saturday and taken away if you miss your curfew. Albeit I never had a real curfew, I never had any real money either if I stepped out of line when I was in school, haha Just savor your parents face when you get a real job and they realize they
don't need you for specific stuff anymore, and they can't stop you doing the things you wanna do. It's epic.

Rant: The heating is out in the house and while my Dad is content to spend money like it is going out of style in every other facet of his life, he is waiting
a a week or two to get how every many quotes to figure out the most viable option for the new unit. It's winter, not great.
Anti-Rant: Justification to light a fire in the lounge room all day. Anti-Rant: Just finished my final paper for this semester. Onward and upward towards exams in the next few weeks. |
