very touching tribute from Janet
i read somewhere Chris Brown was supposed to honor MJ at the BET awards and some performers(Jay Z) were going to pull out if he did, i guess BET listened to him.

Woah. Beautiful performance of I'll Be There. Who was singing with Jamie Foxx?
Janet is a class act ~ I can't imagine how hard that must have been for her. |

That's Ne-Yo, Lauren. He has written and/or produced a lot of big r&b songs over the last few years. He's also a singer.

THAT was Ne-Yo? If's that's Ne-Yo, who's the guy with the bandaid? I really need to get out more.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S LAST CONCERT REHEARSAL
Check out some just-released images of Michael Jackson's last concert rehearsal at Staples Center on Tuesday, June 23 in Los Angeles. The 50-year-old pop legend looked in fine forrm as he "danced as well or better than the 20-year-old dancers we surrounded him with." Michael died two days later of suspected cardiac arrest. Meanwhile, Jackson's former home could be turned into a shrine to the late star. MJ reportedly told pals he wanted to be buried at the Neverland Ranch so fans would always be able to pay their respects to him. If Michael's wish is granted, it is thought Neverland - which the father-of-three was forced to sell in 2005 after facing financial ruin following his child molestation court case - could become one of the biggest tourist destinations in the world, eclipsing Graceland, the Memphis home where Elvis Presley is buried. http://www.fadedyouthblog.com/115582/michael-jacksons-last-concert-rehearsal |

OK! Looks to Cash In on Michael Jackson Death CoverOK! Weekly is bracing for some flak over its pick for this week's cover. While other publications went with feel-good images to commemorate Michael Jackson, OK! chose a grim photo of the dying star being whisked to the hospital June 25.A knowledgeable source said British parent Northern & Shell paid the equivalent of roughly $500,000 in U.S. dollars for exclusive magazine rights to the photo in the U.S. and U.K. OK! claims that the photo, which is similar to an image that has appeared on Entertainment Tonight's Web site, is the last one showing Jackson alive. It plans to use the image in a number of its international editions. News and entertainment weeklies are counting on huge newsstand sales this week due to the public's huge interest in the pop phenom's death. OK! in particular could use the help; its single-copy sales, which provide more than half its 909,884 circulation, have been generally weak this year. (The magazine says that sales have improved in the past few weeks but wouldn't give out those figures.) OK! also has been under the harsh spotlight lately over financial losses and continual changes at the masthead. Sarah Ivens, OK!'s editorial director, said she thought the photo of the dying Jackson would differentiate the title from the rash of tribute-style covers that have begun hitting newsstands this week. "It's a photo that captures the surprise and the upset and the moment of this breaking news story," Ivens said. "I hope the cover will provoke readers. It celebrated the man, but it also does expose that he was an eccentric character who lived a very controversial life." http://www.mediaweek.com/mw/content_display/news/magazines-newspapers/e3i3a983edc0e93a51bae9edfe5e1648f8a |

"It's the most controversial and tasteless photo we could find and we hope all the sick freaks who love our sensationalist and morally corrupt crap
buy the hell out of it so we can save our sorry ass magazine."

I don't know if this has been posted yet or not ....
"My heart goes out to the family and millions of fans of Michael Jackson. Not since Elvis have we had such a talented entertainer with a unique personality. The music world has lost one of the greatest entertainers of our time. He will surely be missed." - Reba McEntire |

H*bby and I started to watch the BET awards, but it wasn't doing it for us, so we stopped. That was New Edition in the opening number?? We were not crazy about that performance at all. Those rehearsal pics are awesome, thanks varlums. Darnit, the YT clips from the awards show were taken down. I'm too slow lol. |

i totally agree w/ you on the OK! mag issue, CBL. and i love that little 'smilie'! LMAO. what a bunch of maggots.
thx for those pics, varlums. wow...by looking at those i never woulda thought he'd be gone two days later. he doesnt look healthy, really, but unfortunately that's just the way mj has looked in recent years. all the details coming out about what shape his body was in are really, really sad. i'm not sure we'll ever know the whole truth of why he died. i dont believe his doctor od'd him, accidentally or intentionally. i dont believe that michael committed suicide. my gut feeling is that his body just gave up after years and years of abuse...it couldnt take any more. in that way, i believe it was just his time, and i hope he has found peace. in so many ways he was just a tortured soul...maybe he needed final and lasting peace, and God knew that. i hope his children are well taken care of and genuinely loved...not just used as tools to get into mj's posthoumous pockets. and dont even get me started on that joe jackson...
