For those of us that aren't too familiar with the workings of the show, can someone explain the role of advisers and the extent to which they appear? Are they on the competition episode, the results show, or both? Do they get to perform as well? Kelly's part was reportedly scheduled for March or April. What's the programming schedule for The Voice (nights and times)?
I see NJKellyFan brought over my post from another thread - this post is basically the same with maybe a little more information.

Well last season, each mentor had an advisor for the battle round of the competition.  Reba was Blake's advisor, for example.  After each mentor picked their team during the blind auditions, the next step was the battle rounds where the mentors matched up people from their team against each other (so Blake had to choose two of his people to face off), and only one person could win the battle.  During rehearsals, the mentor and advisor would co-mentor the contestants, giving them tips on how to shine during the battle duet.  Then the advisor would help the mentor choose between each set of contestants to decide who should stay in the competition.

Hopefully that's clear enough and makes sense.  I'm not sure if the rules are changing or if the advisors will be used differently this season.  Since there's more than 4 advisors listed in the tweet, they might not be used the same way as last season.  We'll have to wait and see, unless someone has some info about it.
