Oldguy - I'm probably 20 years younger than you (but cranky sometimes hehe) and I don't see the love for Phillip at all. I thought for SURE he'd at least be in the bottom two.

My husband and I are both sad to see Skylar go. She had the most personality out of all of them, and was just so darn cute! Phillip can be energetic too, but his voice and facial expressions when he sings just grate on my nerves.

I have a bad feeling that Hollie will be next as she's been in the bottom two or three just about every week.
Not that Simon always got his way,  but at least he would have been giving Philip the honest criticism he merits and maybe he'd be, to coin a phrase,  already gone. It isn't his fault he can't hold a tune, but I sort of thought that's what the show is all about.  If the show is left with personality and teeny bop cuteness first and voice is secondary, it is flip flopping away from the point of the show.  Kelly would have a tough time with the current crowd of voters.  FWIW, I'm not a country fan, but Skylar had it all over Phillip and as a potential star, maybe has the best potential of all of them, given that she is country.  Heck, if McCreery can make it, Skylar could become another Carrie.  She comes out of the  box with more stage pizzazz than Carrie did, although I do like Carrie's voice better.  I agree that Hollie is in jeopardy when Philip is the one who should be gone first.  Holly is definitely the least polished of the three who can actually sing, but she has a wonderful voice.  If Philip wins this show, I think I'll stick with reruns of Star Search.
