cm24 - I remember my parents making me have to choose between the two of them at one point too! I remember the day perfectly. It was fall and my parenst had gotten into a huge fight, over nonsense as always. I didn't think anything of it because it was always happening. My dad cut it off by storming outside. He decided to cut the tree in our back yard down. I love fall and raking leaves so I decided to go outside and help my dad out. As I'm about to go outside, my mother stops me and says "You're going to have to choose one of us. Who do you love more? Remember, I'm your mother." I thought she was joking and brushed her off by saying i loved both equallly. When I got outside, my dad didn't speak for a whole hour while we worked. Finally he said "You know, I can't do this anymore. I think your mother and I are going to have to get a divorce. I'm sorry." and then he started crying. I was in shock. Seeing my father cry! That had never happened before. The divorce didn't happen, and at that point I tried everything in my power (as if I had any control) to not let it happen because I wanted my parents together, but when I grea up, I realized how foolish that was.

Irene, I didn't know about your family situation either! Throwing you one of my hugs babe.

Seriously, I feel like we're all in group therapy, lol My story isn't half as bad as some people, so I really admire veryone for sharing their story.
