ARGH! OKAY just so we are clear you all know that that note at the end of Natural Woman was a BAD note and she didn't mean to do it right? B/c I have always been under the impression from not only Kelly's face but also..well...anyone who sings and has had training that that was NOT a good note. I personaly thought at the time that she messed up.

people need to either familiarize themselves with the word "flageolet" or publicly decry artists like minnie riperton and mariah carey.

at 1540 hz, the intentional f6-f#6 slur in kel's first performance of "natural woman" is the single highest note she has ever sung publicly. since she can achieve controlled flageolet at all, however, it's likely she can go higher and we just haven't heard it yet.

highest falsetto note was a c-c# during a rehearsal for some lame idol christmas special, and her lowest note is an f below middle c in "addicted" (100 hz). highest note in full voice is a g#5 during the aol sessions performance of "miss independent", as well as any of the times she actually hits it at the end of the punk version of "a moment like this". and fyi, there are a myriad of full frontal g5's strewn all over the breakaway disc, most notably in "since u been gone" and "gone" ("behind these hazel eyes" peaks at f#5).
