The whole training thing my dad used to do the diversion technique with our dog, like he'd say no and bring the dog over to him away from what was bad, then he'd get rewarded like my dad would pet him or give him a treat. Eventually my dog saw it as he could be good and get a pet or treat, or he could be bad and get told no! He didn't like being told no haha he used to cower and go sit on his bed on his own.
But that was the other thing he used to be sent to his bed if he was bad, literally like a kid he had time out.

Our dog was amazing though like my dad had him trained so he wouldn't go into the kitchen (We had an incident when we first got him of him eating all my dinner before I came in from playing outside so yeah)
He wouldn't go upstairs into our bedrooms (My mum had a thing about his hairs in the bedrooms so the agreement was we got the dog, he didn't go into the bedrooms)
He wouldn't eat anything off the floor unless he was told we had to say to him "it's yours" before he would take ANYTHING he was amazing!
He didn't bite like my niece when she was a baby would obviously be a bit rough sometimes with him when we weren't looking. He'd literally just take it or walk away, not biting no growling nothing.

He was the perfect dog though well trained, cuddly, adorable, playful, not a worry at all I miss him so much

He used to wink at us though if he wanted something which was hilarious he'd look at me if I was eating something and just wink at first we thought it was just coincidence....nope he actually did it cause he wanted something he must have learnt it from one of my family.
