Well.. I let my friend pick the movie last night.. and she picked Transformers. I'm not a huge fan of Big Blockbusters, but more little independent films
no one has ever heard of or has cared to see. I also had only seen half of the first Transformers. For what its worth, the new one wasn't bad, but not much
story.. not that it was expected. But you'll love it if you're into that type of movie.

I went to watch MSK with 4 other girls and we had all read the book & loved it. It's why we went all together.
We cried a bucnh of times, but at the end, we did not feel that we enjoyed the movie and were pretty disappointed. Some were even pissed! lol What made the book a best seller was all about the controversy and of course the ending. The movie took a whole other spin, changed a LOT of important parts of the book (parts that MADE the story) and we felt more like we were watching a REALY long commercial for Make a Wish or something, lol Maybe if we hadn`t read the book we would have enjoyed it more. I was annoyed when I found out that Cameron was going to play the mother but like most people mentioned here, she was really a big surprise. She was really good. So was the girl who played Kate. She was excellent. And I liked the way the movie was filmed, but I wasn`t too crazy about all the narration. Also, the very last line of the movie- Come on!! Could they not coem up with something more poetic than that?? lol The beach scene was beautiful and that's when I really started crying - but it made me think so much of The Notebook, lol |

I've seen drag me to hell - which is really jumpy and i had my hands upto my face. the ending is a compelete shock, as u don't expect it.
Saw my sisters keeper and loved it. it was true to the book, but unlike the book couldn't focus too much on some parts as it would have dragged the movie on. the narration in the film was hard to get used to at the beginning but then it was fine. cameron diaz played the mother really well. it was sad and i couldn't stop crying. the ending wasn't like the book, but my sister who hadn't read the book said it was a better ending(but it would have shocked everyone if it was kept like the book) Going to see ice age 3 tonight, so will let you know what that is like and then harry potter in a couple of weeks |

I saw MSK today!
I had not read the book, so I wasn't annoyed by anything really. Also, I am going to have to get with my friend who has read the book and compare endings since I see now it has been said the two were different. I was VERY impressed by Cameron. I was not expecting that performance from her. Not saying I don't find her talented, but prior to seeing it, I just didn't see her in that role. As a Mother, the movie got to me on just about every level. At the end I just about fell apart. Thank the Lord I had tissue in my purse because tears were pouring down my face, LOL. Sooz - The beach scene is when I started in too. That and Cameron's performance prior to the beach. One thing I didn't really agree with (and I am no judge and jury for anyone, so to each their own, I'll say that first off) was the young kids that were in the theater. About 2 or 3 different families came in with little girls that didn't look to be over 8 years old. I just thought the movie was a bit graphic for anyone of that age. Now they could have been older, but I really don't think so. My little girls are 5 and 3 and there is NO way I would have taken them. They would have been scared to death of some of the stuff in the movie. I wouldn't have even let them go at 7 or 8 years old as some of the language and content was above that. Am I just overly protective? LOL! Oh well, we'll just stick to Disney for several more years. |

Just rented and watched "Lars and the Real Girl". In general, I liked the movie, thought the acting was very good, and I even bought the premise that
the townspeople would go along with the delusion. But, maybe I don't get it, I thought the very end of the film was a little too unbelievable, even within
the concept of the movie. That there would be a full-blown burial and funeral, I felt took the movie from the psychological to the silly. Also, even though it
was predictable and just a movie, I wondered why any reasonably sane real girl would want anything to do with the guy romantically.

saw Public Enemies...it was one big snoozefest. Trailers made it look like an action-packed and dramatic gangster film from the 30s. It was just 2.5 hours of
long and monotone dialogue. Not to mention the director used "shaky cam" at times in weird angles. It's like Valkyrie. Too long and too slow
paced.

Just got back from "Up". I know its been out for a while, but I'm a big 5 buck club fan.
. The movie was really great! Probably one of my favorites from Pixar ever since
Nemo and Monsters Inc. It had pretty much everything: action, adventure, emotion, etc. Overall amazing movie!

I just saw MSK. I must say I was a little disappointed but I still enjoyed it. I really wasn't very impressed with Cameron. The only one I thought was
actually worthwhile was Sophia playing Kate.

Not for everyone, but I saw Easy Virtue, and after a pretty draggie first half, it was pretty good. British "manners" satire can be among the best
forms when it's done right.

Just got done with seeing 'My Sister's Keeper'. Pretty sure I cried my eyes out from beginning to end. Amazing movie. Throughout the entire movie
all you could hear were sniffles from all the females in the audience haha.
