You get everything. Dinner, blurry pictures, random people. Everything I took.
PLEASE be respectful of the pictures and do not post them on other Kelly sites or any other site WITHOUT my permission or repost as your own.
I believe that Kelly pictures are for everyone to enjoy and there was no point in these just hiding on my hard drive. However, this doesn't mean I don't want the Express credited for them. Thanks.
It was a cold day in Rockford. The wind was blowing and the flurries were falling. The masses began to converge on Rockford as early as Friday night. Our group started with a meet up at the Courtyard Marriott. We were almost 20 strong as we headed off to Friday's for dinner. Two in our group had meet and greets, so there was plenty to be excited about. We had a nice dinner (and celebrated Jenny Rae's birthday again!). We made our way to the venue and the excitement over where everyone was sitting began. We had people in the first 10 rows and more all over the venue. Bri and Mike recounted their meet and greet tales (Mike made her adorkable and Bri said Kelly told her that she had "sexy feet."
Show starts and Melissa does her thing. Jenna works her butt off to get her to notice her sign and Abby hands off her 3 Musketteers bar. Good times. Melissa was funnier than I thought she would be.
Show starts and the opening was fantastic. Great mini-rendition of Sweet Dreams. Love to hear someone singing behind a curtain - building my own anticipation. The ladies were spot on. As I was told by friends later and what I even thought to myself, Kelly sang circles around Reba! No lie!
I made my very first ever concert sign. It had a grammy on it and said "Good Luck Tomorrow Night!" I put it up early and Reba saw it and mouthed "Thank you." Later, I got Kelly to see it and it started a conversation on stage. Kell saw the sign and said "Oh yeah! Those are tomorrow night!" and they began to talk about the Grammy's to much applause. After putting up my sign, I felt like I was getting lots of Kreba love. Lots of looks from Kelly (she looks dead into my camera multiple times) and many smiles from Reba.
I was genuinely surprised and happy with Reba's songs and performance. They meshed with Kelly really well. As for Kelly, her voice was fantastic. Again, one of the best vocal performances I've ever heard. I know she won over many of the Reba fans that weren't as familiar with her.
Finally, the quote of the night - Melissa comes out late in the show and is "drinking" and has a Budweiser in her hands. She stumbles around the stage and hands the beer to Reba. She then says "Hey look, the Queen of Country is holding the King of Beers." Classic.
It was a fantastic show that I wish I could see again. You can tell that they are having a great time together and have put together one very fun show.
Here's a smattering of the 350 pics I took!
Enjoy!
