OK my favorite show on TV returns tonight!! so flippin excited
the auditions are my least fave part of the process but i'm just so happy it's back! who's watching?

Suuuuuuper pumped!
I too prefer the actual competitioin art but with all my other shows done now, glad I`ve got something else to watch! ie use to procrastinate, lol What I`m also excited about is that every season the show introduces me to great new music! |

*raises hand* yup, I'll be watching as well!! Last year was terrific, hopefully it's good again this year.
Soozya - I'm with you about the music. My husband and I discovered a couple of songs from last year's show, including "Mercy" by Duffy. I totally think it's a mistake to do a fall season right after the summer one though. I think that's why I've always loved this show...it's on only once a year and the run seems shorter than Idol. Thus, I look forward to it every year (even the auditions *hides*). But too much can really wear out its welcome. |

^ This is supposedly the only time it will be twice in one year. Nigel twittered yesterday that FOX wants to move the show to the fall, so we won't see it
next summer.
CAN'T WAIT FOR TONIGHT!!! P.S. I'm with you on the music! I've fallen in love with so many of the songs on the show, including becoming a huge fan of Duffy. Just today "Hide and Seek" was playing in a little shop I was in and I found myself singing along. |

I already knew Duffy because they played that song a lot here (but never anymore from her...) but even with the mainstream songs, I love
how the show ends up putting a whole new spin on a song you`ve heard before. For example, everytime I hear Bleeding Love, i can see the whole dance Chelsie and
Mark did with the briefcase. And when I hear No Air I think of Katie and Joshua's dance.
I also love finding the good hip hop songs that i would otherwise never discover (fun for the gym!), as well as the indie folk songs that they usually do the contemporary dances to. I remember last year in particulat they played a few songs from this group called The Side Project and they were beautiful covers of I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Love Hurts. Sooo good. I can totally see them using Kelly songs this year nwo that the new album`s pretty dancey! I also heard Wade Robson`s back this year! |

I agree, the show is great for music. OneRepublic sang Apologize and Lady Gaga sang Just Dance like a year before they were popular on radio. Plus, Mia always
picks great songs for dances.

Suzy, Yeah! Wade's back in the first top 20 episode I believe. Shane Sparks is also back this season. oh, and Louis Van Amstel from DWTS joins as a
ballroom choreographer on SYTYCD. He's the one that choreographs the DWTS tours and a lot of the pro numbers.
