^partly. usually the other big reason is that for such big events like this, when they make people squeeze it in their schedules in 2 weeks a majority WILL
find a way. let's be honest...they're making the same amount of money in 2 weeks that they would have in 2 months. what's the point of dragging
everything out haha!

haha! funny we were just talking about this...
it was announced today that This Is It is going to be in theaters for 3 extra weeks because of the demand. this also means they had to push the DVD release to early 2010 instead of before Christmas. |

I just got home. Un. Freaking. Believable.
#1) Beautifully done. Very tasteful, well-organized, not too sappy, not too anything. Just perfect. #2) I cried pretty much the whole time. True, I am PMSing, but also true, he and his music were/are that powerful. I like to think I would have been just as moved had he still been alive, but I could be lying. Who knows. #3) Part of what made it so moving was watching how the others were moved by him ~ the dancers cheering him on while he was singing, the director being in awe, etc. The opening scene with the dancer interviews was brutal, haha. I knew I was in crying trouble right from the start. #4) I can't imagine what the actual concert would have felt like. The sets, the pyrotechnics, the videos ~ holy crap. To be in an arena with all that going on? Wow. #5) I don't have time to see it again (I don't think) but I will definitely rent it (on a non-pms week.) #6) I feel badly for the people who have pre-judged the movie and who won't see it because it really was spectacular. The end. For now. I have a crying headache so I may think of more later. |

One more thing: I haven't been to a movie in a while, but we watched like six trailers. Is that normal?
2012 ~ stupid, won't be seeing it although happy for Adam. The Princess and the Frog ~ sadly, I laughed at the farting firefly. Avatar ~ who thinks this stuff up? Meet the somebodies-I-can't-remember ~ Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker. OMG ~ I laughed my ass off at this trailer. I MUST see it. Hugh plays the same character in every movie, but that's okay, cuz I love it. Hilarious! I think there were a few more, or maybe I'm thinking of the crazy amount of commercials. |

i saw This Is It yesterday.....LOVED IT. i was in awe of him the entire time. it really was beautifully done and perfectly edited. i just loved how involved MJ
was....from choosing the dancers to his input with the CGI stuff to helping the musical director. he's also got such a kind heart...always doing things
with love and such a positive attitude. i love how encouraging he was with Orianthi [female guitarist]....telling her to shine during her solos. what a talent.
i can't even imagine what it would've been like had he not passed away...it would've been quite a show. the raw footage was already so dang
good....and he wasn't even going all out!
i just about lost it when he did "the way you make me feel" [my favorite MJ song]....that version was amazing. i got chills. i also loved "i just can't stop loving you".....that was beautiful. i really hope more people see this film. |

^I loved when him and the musical director were going over the arrangement for 'The Way You Make Me Feel' and he was telling him to slow it down so he
could "bathe in the moonlight" haha. I loved his little comments throughout the whole movie.

Lauren and Nettey ~
My husband and I watched it last Sunday, and it was amazing. I cried a lot, too. I felt that I've known Michael as a pop star, but since I didn't
really follow him, like as I've done more or less with Kelly, what I know about him are the things I hear from the media -- although I did know better not
to believe everything. And while watching this movie, I realized what a kind, loving soul he really was. So misunderstood. It made me angry why some of the
media, or people in general, couldn't just let him be.

Candee - You are so, so right. I too was moved when he said to Orianthi "it's your time to shine"...what other lead artist says that to one of
their players??
I agree about the crowd's reaction....I can't remember after which song it was, but I remember one applause in particular being especially enthusiastic and genuine. One of the things he said that I will never forget was when he said something like you don't dance to music, but rather you feel the music in you, and then let it move you, or something like that.I love this quote...I don't remember it word for word, but I vaguely remember him saying that. I'm not a performer, but I can completely understand that concept because that's how I look at music when listening to it. Hope that makes sense lol. |

Finally saw it today and i'm definitely going to see it again because it was just amazing. I seriously felt like i was at his show, in the audience singing
along and dancing along with him.
This concert would have been EPIC. I mean the Thriller 3D looked sick even without the glasses on. Totally teared up during the whole movie..especially parts where he got so into the song and was dancing like crazy. And when his dancers and everyone would be cheering him on through everything. Just so touching. And then tears were flowing like crazy during Man In The Mirror. |
