^^^^^oh, i hadnt heard this. thanks for posting it! i gotta agree, she doesnt sound like she used to. the power and clarity just arent what they used to be.
she definitely sounds older, which, i guess, is a given, haha.
 but in her defense, time usually is not kind to the voices of most belters...they just seem
to wear out. as far as the song itself, there's no denying the theme suits a whitney comeback perfectly. dont love it, dont hate it....but damn, i think
the lyrics have just about every cliche in the book, lol, including the title. i do, however, like the lead up line to the last hook of the chorus, 'i
wasnt built to break.' cool. 
i wish whitney all the luck in her comeback, but unfortunately i just dont know if there's a place for her in the current mainstream scene, and that makes me really sad. she's one of my favorites and i have awesome memories of her music and glory days, when i was a kid. just judging by this, though, i like the musical route she's taking as opposed to mariah c. |

i always was a whitney fan and really really want her to come back strong. this song. hmmm. i kept waiting for a few of the big notes she is capable of, or was. i loved "Bodyguard", especially the slower songs. this song is kind of boring really, theres no big building of the song. kind of repetitive. nonetheless, i am cheering for her comeback! on a side note, i could almost picture KC doing this song, with it tweeked a bit. She would kill it and add some big notes. |

I'm interested to see what happens now that Clives not there to back all of her songs. Granted she has had some bigs hits and sold a lot of records, but so
has Britney and a LOT of her songs don't reach #1, let alone #3 or above. We'll see.
