Now, this review will be epic in content and in length. It is created by the fans, for the fans. It will document what I remember from one great week in the history of my KC adventures. I'll prepare you that while there will be valuable information about KC and the shows/experience I had with her, it will focus on my a-ma-za-zing, not "sickening" time with a bunch of fa-BOO-lous peeps.
Chapter 1: KC in MKE Let the Fun Begin….
Finally, KC was making her way back to my home state. It had been far too long since KC has been to Wisconsin…HET…she is lucky we all travel. Since KC was coming to hometown my friends, The Loopers, and I knew we had to spring for VIP 1 tickets. I mean Robby was coming all the way from New Jersey for this we were going all out as this would be the 1st concert the Loopers would all attend together J.
The
night before the show we did a little Midwest Crew pre-party. Dave, J Rae, Blake, Jenny, and I got together for a few
drinks at Miller Park, and then went to the casino to win some $$$. Well, we are certainly good at drinking…casino was
a different story. "Bonus Bitch" screwed some of us over, while others cashed in on the penny slots…Blake
Either way a great way to start the fun.
After much anticipation, planning, and attempts to win local radio contests (FAIL on Mix Tac Toe) it was time…
Jenny (Jenkinsfanatic) and I ventured down town and happened to
run into our crew parking. Some of them were full of anticipation and others were full of jello shots. We knew this was going to be a great night. We were on our way to our preshow destination
Turner's when I saw the other half of Loopers Michelle and Robby hanging out at the busses. We found out we just
missed KC apparently and Steven got to meet her…fail…I blame Emma for that
We went on our way to grab a quick drink before heading down to the VIP
party.
It was great to see a majority of the Iowa Crew back together again along with some new faces. I was only there for a bit, but there is never a dull moment with the Midwest Crew. We were all catching up on travel plans, life, and KC adventures of course. If you can ever come visit us here in the Midwest do it, no lie we're made of awesome. We all quick downed a drink, then Jenny Rae, Jenny Sans Rae, and I excused ourselves to head over to the VIP1 line.
We made our way to the VIP line where Robby and Michelle were holding down the fort with our new friends the Family from Colorado-love them btw. Now, this is where the review is going to begin to get sappy. Now it's not the only part I promise so if you cry easily time to go grab a box of tissues.
All the Loopers were super excited to get to see our favorite beer drinking, peanut throwing, cheese loving, Brooklyn Chick. Now, do some travel hiccups she was not able to join us in Milwaukee…moment of silence…tear. I will say that Erin we missed you, but once again you show how great a KC fan you are. Instead of letting a VIP ticket go to waste you gave it to one deserving #fan that appreciated it and enjoyed every second. You think of others and that makes us love you even more. J Rae I loved that we got to share this with you!
Now the Loopers like to be organized. We put my whiteboard to good use and let all those gathering in the lobby where the line started. Our Colorado Family appreciated it too. Can I just say that I love that a Mom, Dad, and 2 young daughters go to KC shows together. That best be my future husband and children J. Finally, Brian and some important dude from the venue came over and let us inside. Now, my rule is you don't run unless you're being chased…well that rule might have to be changed to don't run unless you're being chased or there is something KC related on the line. We briskly walked/ran and that begins Chapter 2
Chapter 2: We're all VIP, but I'm a Bad Teacher
We
ran to/got our iPod speakers, laminates, and drink tickets and made our way to the front. Robby and Michelle flanked
the left side, J Rae and Sans Rae flanked the right side, and I went for center behind Colorado Daughters. The energy
inside was great; we all knew how lucky we were to be in here and how awesome it was going to be. We wasted no time on
continuing the drinking… 2 drink tickets = double fisting. With TMZ there we of course documented our fun by snapping
some pictures on the set…shhhhh don't tell KC I was drinking on her stool
J
We were all waiting patiently; eating some snacks wondering when in the world was this going to start. We were all making new friends chatting it up, when Tim came in and gave us all the rules. He told us that the 2 songs were great today and that KC would be here in around 15/20minutes. I went to buy KC a beer, what kind of Milwaukee host would I be if I didn't buy her a Miller Lite and waited for the show to start.
We waited…waited some more…waited…beer got warm…went to buy KC a new, cold beer…started drinking warm beer…still waiting. We heard word from Kylie that they were just being let into meet and greets. We knew from friends it went VIP then meet and greets. We wondered if they switched it. We figured Michelle had all the time in the world to run to the bathroom quick…we should've known…
Michelle is in the bathroom and guess who comes out…Kelly.
KC walked out and I handed her the new cold beer and told her welcome to Wisconsin it's Miller time. She was like "oh I got a beer, wait Miller time? Is there a plant here?" We told her there is and she let us know there was one close to her house growing up. She took a swig and toasted us and we toasted her as Michelle came out of the bathroom. She made a great entrance letting KC and the band know that she knew this was gonna happen. Michelle we can all laugh at you now because all you missed was me buying KC a drink no biggie.
She sat down and introduced everyone in the band. We were really lucky it was pretty much the whole band: Aben, Miles, Einar, Kate, Cory (violin), Jill, and Jason (accordion). J Rae let KC know that we love the band and her response was "I don't. I'm getting rid of them." She then went into a spiel about how they're great learning new songs all the time for VIP to make it special. KC said herself that she doesn't want recordings to make online because it takes away from those that were there. She said we paid a lot of $$$ (we did) and why would you do that if you could've just gone online. I give her props and respect for changing it up and making it special.
The first song was called A Little More Time, A Little Less Over (SO LONG. How are we ever going to abbreviate it?). She wrote it with Jill and Kate a while back. It's a beautiful, sad, song about a relationship that is starting to fizzle and change. It was simple and sweet. You can feel the Jill and Kate influence. I for one and super stoked about all 3 ladies working together writing songs. Who knows what the future brings, but if we ever get to hear anything that those ladies have written we will be lucky. It was so amazing to think nobody has heard this song…and we're hearing it now.
After the song KC said, that it was about when the fire in a relationship is gone, and how she doesn't think she's been in a relationship long enough for there to be any fire. That's when "4 beer Evan "opened her big mouth, and said "except if you're burning a letter." KC laughed and then said yes burning a letter, and said she was a pyro who liked to burn things in general. She mentioned then to be funny she sent the burnt letter in some Tupperware to the writer. Apparently, he didn't think it was too funny, only weird. KC didn't care and then I called him a jackass (he is). She responded with "exactly…I know, there are children we mean donkey." I was like oops, forgot about my Colorado Daughters. I apologized and KC told me I was good, and that she was normally the one in the room doing it and that she always gets yelled at by her sister. I then told her I was a teacher and that I should know better. She said "you're a teacher, that makes it even more funny." She then went on about something about swearing kids, and that's the kind of teacher she would be bad… I was like hold up, did Kelly Clarkson just call me a bad teacher? If that isn't a story to tell, I don't know what is.
KC moved on and introduced the cover song. She told us she had been a fan of this band and song since junior high: The Cranberries. We all cheered and 2 songs came into my head: Zombie and War Child. Now War Child was a song a friend of mine in middle school/high school loved and played all the time and I did one super sweet lip syncing to it, and Zombie is Zombie. KC let us know it wasn't Zombie but Linger…I totally forgotten about this one. We cheered again and she said something about us being drunk or really liking the song…we yelled BOTH. It is already a beautiful song, but KC's vocals just add to it. There is no doubt in my mind that girl can out sing anyone on any of their songs. She must've changed something at end because when song was over she was like I don't know why I rehearse I'm always changing everything and these guys have put up with it. She then noticed Robby's KC helmet, me and Jenny then showed her ours and I offered if she wanted it. She said no thank you and that she had a hat from singing something there once and had a nice discussion comparing the protection a helmet offers to her being stubborn and hard headed.
She then thanked us for coming and said that this is by far her favorite thing to do. She loves touring and production, but the intimate setting is just so special. We sent her off with a cheer looking forward to the show. We couldn't believe how awesome that 15 minutes was, and what was even more mind boggling…we still had a whole set to look forward to.
Chapter 3: Milwaukee is Ready to Rock, and We Got Props
I made my way to all my friends who were enjoying Parachute aka "Paramore" "Skydiver" "Airplane". I caught the last few songs by the guys…not bad just not same connection I had with Jon and Graham….quite possibly could be because I missed most of their set. Either way we all know that in the end we are there for KC not the opener. I made my way to my front row seat…which btw will not help my KC ticket snobness…and set up shop. I had a lot of accessories for this tour. I brought a nice dry erase whiteboard to write wonderful, insightful, witty, smart ass messages to all-plus eraser and marker. I also brought bright yellow thundersticks for the crew to rock. The thundersticks first made their appearance on the 2W2V tour…KC ignored them and Reebs loved them. I knew the crew would rock them along with the Iowa foam fingers…who doesn't love phallic shaped noise making devices?
I decided to warm up my whiteboard with a signal much like the bat signal by writing Shook Me All Night Long. All real KC fans know what that means, and I just wanted to let those newbies know. After a few fails, YSMANL finally came on and the party began.
Here are my two cents on the actual show.
-Love the buildup of the intro much more than the fair shows this summer
-My thunderstick broke during I Do Not Hook Up…anyone else see the symbolism there…HA dirty mind J
- That I Would Be Good/Use Somebody mash up may possibly be my favorite cover that Kelly has ever done. It is simply the best of KC on all fronts. The Alanis song shows her deep side where she is the living meaning of those lyrics, and then the KOL song shows that girl can blow. How it just builds, builds, then POW is beautiful. I had heard/seen many videos prior to that, but nothing beats it live…goosebumps.
Whiteboard Sign: "You're Good!"
-Breakaway
Whiteboard Sign: Trade for Sober? Some fans wanted a PC way to say this and I delivered with a smirk from KC.
- The back to back duo of If I Can't Have You/Never Again is quite the work out with the dance party and jumping. In Milwaukee she held back quite a bit on these songs, but still delivered. It's
amazing how KC holding back is 10 times better than her peers singing live. Either way playing it safe on Never Again
didn't stop me from jumping my little heart out and yelling inappropriate words about letters ![]()
Whiteboard Sign: F-ing Letter
-I enjoy acoustic BTHE, but miss rocking out BTHE…too be honest I think I miss the "leave me alone's" after the bridge the most…I can't seem to gather myself to sing them correctly without KC singing them so I pretty much just yell LEAVE ME ALONE loud once to show her I miss them
Whiteboard Sign: Leave Me Alone, Leave Me Alone!
-Cry?...tear where did you go?
-Yeah, yeah
yeah….love being on Team Jill and Kate for I Want You. Love you Cory, but their part is so much easier. Kate, who looked like she pre-partyed too, showed me love with some nice smiles and waves,
she also showed someone else some love too…#fans that was for you ![]()
Whiteboard Sign: Hi Jill and Kate.
-Ready is simply love. Now, I wanted to hear KC whisper "come get me" but I must say that us all yelling "COME GET ME" sounded amazing. KC's smile said it all. Also love how she is speaking out on meaning of song being a "kick in the balls" to the label, and not about love…ha ha Bachelorette promos.
Whiteboard Sign: F Clive Davis
-BOY-we rocked the bridge….every since KC & Reebs I just don't hear the other part.
-WA My favorite saxophone or "sex-a-phone" player Chris is great on this song…LOVE him.
-Already Gone-Pretty song, but enjoyed my sign better
Whiteboard Sign: Halo
-7 Nation Army is a party. While I don't connect with lyrics, love that it's something different…can't beat the bass line.
-MLWSWY- not KC's most artistic song, but it's still fun to jump around with the whole band.
The show was over and we were sweaty. The Midwest Crew had a great time, and now it was time to post-show it. Some fans went to the busses. I stopped by for a sec to see some of the crew talking to Einar about "Chivas in Chicago." He said I can remember that it rhymes, well Einar it doesn't rhyme so this teacher says fail in reading and fail in geography since you played it in Detroit. Others were lucky enough to see the lady herself and get some pics/autographs. We went to J Rae's for a post show party to share our thoughts on the love that must not be named, some pizza, drinks, more jello, laughs, watch Blake be Reba, see some dancing fan rockin' out during MI, and so much more. Apparently the motto what happens in Iowa stays in Iowa also applies to the Fans in Milwaukee. After partying to the wee hours of 3 in the morning it was time to say good bye.
I'll say this a hundred more times, but nothing beat a KC concert with friends. What is the point of doing anything if you don't have someone to share it with?
Chapter 4: 7 Nation Army @ Jill and Kate + Voldemort.
Now, some of the crew headed to Detroit. I stayed back because this "bad teacher" had to work Monday. After, making it through the day…making sub plans is a pain… it was time to head down to start the Chicago party. Jenny and I picked up Lisa and then hit the road. We were headed to "Hotel Kooter"…that's a whole other story… to meet the rest of our crew (Dave, J Rae, Crina, Blake). We made pretty good time on the drive…never know with traffic. We got to hotel threw our %+++ down, changed and then headed to the L to make our way downtown for the Jill and Kate show. Now 7 Nation Army-(all of 7 us packed into one room) agreed that KC was going to be "Voldemort"-thanks Jeanette- tonight at show…"she who shall not be named". We all knew that she would be there, but we wanted to show our support for Jill and Kate because they are two talented young ladies who deserve it...we hoped everyone felt the same as us. After a little delay with our hotel shuttle we made it to the blue line out in Rosemont. Can I just say traveling is always an adventure…especially when you have Midwest fans together ready to have a great time. We followed Jeanette's directions -even transferred trains, stopped at a liquor store, and we made it to our way to the Underground Lounge-without getting lost.
We heard Voldemort was in the building, but we had better things to do: drink. We grabbed some drinks and found a spot. More and more fans started to come in and we were catching up when Voldemort herself came out to sell J&K merchandise. I was like umm Voldemort as a merch person…effective marketing strategy. I held strong and went to Hot Sex-a-Phone Player Chris to buy my cds/t-shirts. Yum. Jill and Kate did a wonderful job packaging Finding My Own Way cds…love the Polaroid pics…want one from MKE ladies.
After some more drinking it was time for the ladies to go on. Miles, Cory, and Jason joined them. I immediately went into sing along mode. Bar was very dark so pictures were not turning out so I just sat back and enjoyed the show. Jill and Kate take a back seat obviously to KC on stage, but girls, especially Jill can work a crowd. Love how they dealt with the "sickening" guys, their harmonies are incredible, Medley is a party…made me break out 8th grade graduation reference for Green Day, Texas is fun , Pop Song gets stuck in your head, Finding My Own Way-love it even more live, East Coast Bound…we need a Midwest remix, and now we'll get to where "She Who Shall Not Be Named" decided to "climb" on stage and sing.
I think Voldemort forgot about being stealthy, but she was tipsy. She got a stage let the sickening guys know they need to expand their vocabulary and discussed her love of a new Bubblegum vodka…someone buy stock all the KC fans will love it now too J. Then the 3 ladies rocked The Climb. Jill and Kate have been just as great for KC as she has for them. They are friends first and you could see that on stage, so happy for them all. After a nice sing a long…won't post my video because all you hear is me singing…oops, KC pimped the merch, and left to let the girls take back the spotlight.
The ladies finished up their set and then went to catch up with their family and friends before greeting and signing things for fans. We formed a make shift line, and I was able to meet both ladies. Both were so polite and appreciative. I don't remember everything I said, but I hope it got the point across that I was there to show them love tonight. They signed my East Coast Bound cd and took a nice picture. Ladies are tall. Dave gets most creative award for having them sign toilet paper.
Then we went to enjoy rest of Beckon Q…bought their cd…all merch sucking me in while other fans met J&K. Becky one
of the band members signed it for me…so nice. After Beckon Q's set it was time to for the 7 Nation Army + Jeanette
to travel back. Thank God Jeanette was our local tour guide for L. We made some
friends on the platform and had some sing along…YEAH YEAH YEAH….Team Jill and Kate. Once on the train we went old
school, and broke out into What's Up Lonely…we forgot there were others on the train…fail.
We
made it back to the Hotel and it was time to keep the party going…the night was young. We had some Jager BOOmbs,
ordered some pizza, and had a party in the hotel lobby. It was a great night.
It is night like this where we all shared our fan moments and laughed till we cried that I love going to shows with people.
We then all headed up to get ready for bed…big day tomorrow…game day-especially since rumor had it she was putting Sober in the set list.
After some interesting sleeping arrangements…Blake face planting on the floor using laptop case as a pillow…we all got some rest and woke up…some more easily than others. Beware if you are sleeping it off we may sling shot you off the air mattress.
Chapter 5: Picking the Weeds, Keeping the Flowers in Chicago
Then we started another travel adventure to meet up with our favorite Brooklyn Chick for lunch and help her return her rental care to MKE. Well navigator Dave missed the exit and we ended up in Gurnee Miles…fail…but win for IHOP. We ate some pancakes and waited for Erin to find us. Then J Rae, Sans Rae, Erin, and I went on a roadtrip back to MKE airport, while Dave, Crina, Blake, and Lisa went searching for a KC pimp cup for Blake's m&g.
We found our Brooklyn Chick and then had a nice trip back down to Chicago. We were so excited for Erin to have a m&g… KC needed to meet her-she deserved to know who that chick dancing in the front row is all the time….love you Erin.
We made our way to the venue scored some free parking at a Mexican restaurant and went to find the peeps. We met up with the gal who bought Michelle's ticket…miss you Looper. Then I went to search for Blake and Jeanette. Found them and Gina Glocken…who looked great and didn't skip in line. We made our way into venue picked up our posters and just hung out. Jenny and I went to enjoy Parachute and Eric. We were waiting for all the info to come out about VIP 1 show and our crew's m&gs.
I was warming up my whiteboard and helmet. Shook Me All Night Long would be making an appearance again and we would debut the high Voldemort sign. I had hopes since Jeanette told KC that we were calling that her that I could get a laugh out of it. Well we had once again several fails before YSMANL came on, but I let the crowd know it was time for the fans to get ready to rock.
It
was show time and I was looking forward to rockin' out again…and you never know what is going to happen at a KC
show…always different. Things were going as scheduled…jumping…singing along…rockin' "Hi Voldemort"
sign…no response just confusion and then we skipped Impossible…works for me because I knew something more exciting was coming later. Still love Alanis/KOL cover, and she went for a few more notes in Chicago compared to Milwaukee.
I was not pleased when the pit security lady who happened to be the mother of the girl we sold Michelle's ticket to told me I couldn't hold up
my whiteboard. Really, I'm so short and I don't hold it up all the time.
I should've wrote one that said Security stinks…but I was a good girl and went on enjoying concert. We made
it through SUBG and still no Sober…then I saw set up was different that AG and I got prepare for what was going to come.
Sober honestly may be my favorite KC song of all time. I connect with the lyrics more than I've probably
shared with even close friends, and I couldn't wait to hear it again. I've missed the MD songs. KC was right; MD will always be the album the fans like the most because it was for us and for KC.
Others will forget it, but we will always have it-it's ours. Sober didn't disappoint…how could it? I
yelled thank you a few billion times… Then it was time for the rest of the encores and the show was over. Chicago was a
wrap. We headed out to the busses to see if we could catch KC again-my whiteboard, which I could use now since out of the pit of death said Thanks for
Sober. She wasn't feeling well so she didn't come out some of the band did, but what we got instead was much
better. We got to hear Erin tell us about her m&g in the rain in the middle of a parking lot. Erin is a true fan who loves KC for all the right reasons. Erin, I get joy from being with
you, and I got joy hearing about your moment with KC. Thanks for the huuuuuuugggggg.
It was time to say peace out to the Crew. We had to head back to Wisconsin to work on Wednesday. After a nice group hug we all went our separate ways, but all keeping our memories of each other. This was a great trip fans, but there are SO many more trips in store for us…see you in the summer J
Chapter 6: Trip to Nebraska-Land of Corn…The Things We Do For KC.
Now originally the plan was just MKE and Chicago…well plans changed when I won a m&g to Nebraska. Technically, I was supposed to be at teacher convention Thursday, but they never said that I couldn't have my own personal teacher convention at the Kelly Clarkson concert in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jenny and I planned to drive it since flights were expensive. So we rented a car and left at the crack ass of dawn to make the 8.5 hour drive from Wisconsin. We were making great time. We did from Thankful to All I Ever Wanted…really recommend it you can hear the evolution of KC, and then found our car had Sirius and we rocked out to the 90's on 9. We were getting closer and closer and we decided that something just didn't feel right. There was just WAY too much corn and we were in the country not downtown area. We pulled over and realized the GPS had lead us hour out of way…fail…user error on my part. We made up the time since nobody is in Nebraska and made it to the hotel. I was ready for a nap after driving 9+ hours. While I was napping Jenny was cracking up listening to the J&K audio…funny now…not funny while napping. Then we got ready to head to the show. We decided last minute to upgrade to VIP 1…I mean seriously we drove all the way to Nebraska why not go out with a bang? We'll have time to save up for summer tour.
We arrived at the venue and picked up our tickets and my m&g pass and once again we organized our own VIP 1 line. Got to hear most of sound check and heard Sober chords so we were hopefully for another chance to hear it. Now, I was extremely pleased with organization of VIP show in Milwaukee… was very nervous about organization in Nebraska. Nobody seemed to know what was going on at all and the peeps in the lobby just kept growing and growing. The ticket lady was very confused and didn't get that there was something before the show…finally Brian came to save the day and we were let in while all the other fans were in the lobby. Brian said she was running late and had to sound check down there. We all just patiently continued waiting then Brian took us down to the area. When I first walked down there I was like where are we? It's cold. Then noticed we were in a parking garage under the venue…classy NebraskaJ. We ate some food, got some drinks chatted with our friends from Kansas City…and once again waited. While waiting I discovered a huge fail…oops memory card for camera was back in my laptop at hotel…talk about EPIC fail. Thank God for great friends like Jenny who were there to be my back up!
There was a different vibe in this preshow than MKE. I could've been my lack of 4 beers, but it was much more chill, calm. Tim came in and gave his spiel once again and we waited….while waiting we were trying to guess who was gonna show up. We got it right just not for the reasons we provided, lol. Then KC came out with Cory, Miles, Kate, Jill, and Jason. Made sure to have "Thanks for Sober in Chicago- Love Midwest Crew" on my board. KC read it and said oh yeah it's in the show again. I let her know that we appreciated it. She introduced the first song, Song to You. She wrote it with Jill and Kate at their home in Nashville. She said that it's about when you like someone but they're with someone else…that prompted me to respond with a "fail." What I remember about it is right before the chorus there is a line about "you're the poison I'm dying to try" or something to that and in chorus it's about 'tasting you' and 'flowing through veins'. I do remember end of chorus says "instead of just a song you'd have my heart." Another great song that the ladies all wrote together, I hope that one day these songs find their way to albums so I can hear them again, lol and so can you too. All during the performance KC was giving us a little show with some KC cleavage or lack there of. She apologized and "lucky there isn't a lot there" and she was like "I leaned down mid song and was like woah." Then she went into cover song which was U2's "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" She mentioned being afraid of covering U2…girl doesn't have to worry about covering anyone because she'll either do it justice or flat out sing them. This one was no different. Then she was done and mentioned that she recognized a few faces of people that had been to the show before…better have been us since she saw us Friday, Monday, Tuesday, and now Thursday…lol. Then our Kansas City friend got her to talk about when she slipped over floor monitor and busted her %+++ during SKOM. She told story complete with actions and sound effects. Then she said thank you and it was time for her to go. I asked one of the roadies if there were any guitar picks…thanks to fans I now feel need to have them. He was kind enough to hand me 2 of Jill's. One for me and one for Jenny score. I then took a deep breath and made my way over to the meet and greet area.
Chapter 7: Bad Teacher Meets Good Singer
I was lucky enough to meet KC back on the Breakaway Tour. My first meet and greet was a blur. I was 21 and just living in the moment. This time, I wanted to somehow make sure that I thanked for KC with blessing me with great friends and fun. I knew there was no way I could eloquently say what I wanted to in her presence so I decided to write her a letter. I threw in a creative twist and decided to put it in Tupperware container ala her burned letter to a certain jack ass. I also got a great idea to play off her calling me a bad teacher in Milwaukee. I made a quick poster that said "Ms. Weishan says do your homework"…good teachers say that right? I was hoping to have her take a pic with it so I can display it in my classroom. I ended up being last in line. When Brian went to take the camera he was like "you have Tupperware for us?" I laughed and said its special Tupperware. You could tell both Brian and Tim wanted KC to pick up the pace, and finally it was my turn. Let's see what I can remember…First she said hello and went in for the hug and asked my name. I told her Evan and that it was nice to finally talk to her not yell at her from audience. She laughed and I said I have a few things to say. First, you called me a bad teacher in Milwaukee, and she said oh yeah for jackass. I told her that I can't have a bad rep with my students so if she could do me favor and take a picture with this sign to help me get some cred back. She read it and laughed. She kindly took the picture. Then, I went into the thank you part. I told her that I wanted to say thank you for so many different things and knew I couldn't do it in 30 seconds here so I wrote it in a letter and put it in some Tupperware in honor of her burnt letter. I told her don't burn this one it's good. She took the container and once again laughed. She said that she gets a lot of letters but that I get points for creativity. I said I try…plus you can never have enough Tupperware. We then snapped our picture and she went off to get ready for the show.
It was short, but it was what I needed it to be. Who knows whether or not KC will read my letter, but it doesn't
matter-I'll be a fan and have my fan friends and that's what matters.
After all that it was time for a show with front row…thanks Jenny for b-day present 1st row. I was worried that everything was gonna catch up with KC vocally after all radio promo, but it was a great show. There was a barricade to block us all, and I didn't have my camera, but I had some great signs.
-Voldemort is Back!
-"Ready" to get rid of Clive
-Team Jill and Kate-yeah yeah yeah
-Kept the flowers with a nice picture of a flower
-Go Chris! (wanted to put sex-a-phone kept it in)
-FYI my fav cover (Alanis/KOL)
KC was also super chatty. Love that she talked about her brother.
The show was great, but something was missing…my fans J I had Jenny there with me and she is an awesome friend. I mean she drove to Nebraska with me despite still not having won a m&g ever and let me have front row over second row. Love you FR. It was weird though to see something happen on stage and turn back or to side and not see peeps to share it with. I mean there was a synchronized K&K spin during MLWSWY and nobody to laugh at it with.
If you actually read this review to get to this part you deserve a drink, or at least a sticker. Like I said before, it's about the people. My AIEW tour experience was beyond a-ma-za-zing not because I got to go to VIP preshows and meet KC-those didn't hurt, but it's about how much fun I had with Midwest Crew. You made this one week I'll never soon forget. KC talks about being a family with her band; well you're all my KC family. You have brought many smiles to my face, tears from laughter, and memories that will never fade. I can't wait for our future escapades whether they're KC related or not. Here's to many more roadtrips and adventures…possibly in a Winnebago.
Peace Out #FANS!

Loved reading it.
