NEXT time we see Kelly Clarkson in Australia, she may be walking down a film premiere red carpet.
The American Idol -winning rock juggernaut told The Eye yesterday that she had written two screenplays and planned to develop them when she had a spare minute.
"I'm big into writing," she said.
"I like writing scripts and screenplays. I've written two screenplays already but I want to hold off because I want to be a part of it and obviously right now I'm in Australia."
But don't expect to see the 23-year-old in front of the camera again -- the star of the unsuccessful 2003 flick From Justin to Kelly says she can't act.
"I never wanted to be Julia Roberts and I don't want to be like the 15th person to do it (go from music into acting)," she said.
Clarkson, who played to a full crowd at the Rod Laver Arena last night, said she'd got off lightly in the fame and fortune game because ragmags picked on other people.
She said the downside to being a celebrity was not knowing who to trust. "It's hard to differentiate between friends and people who just want to be around," she said.
Clarkson said she was a Jet fan, having heard one of their songs on radio before they got big in the US.
Asked whether she met the Aussie boys after watching them support Oasis in the States, a shocked Clarkson declared: "Oh no, I don't do that.
"I just go as a fan. They probably don't want to meet me anyway, but I think I'm OK with that."
So, yeah, we guess you should believe the hype.
Clarkson really is a lovely girl.
